  • Tahoe Donner Snowplay — Open on the weekends. Tahoe Donner Snowplay has a gentle sledding and tubing area with monitored lanes and a snow play area that is great for small kids. Online reservations are required.
  • Sugar Rush Tubing at Sugar Bowl Resort - Open on the weekends, Sugar Bowl has ten tubing lanes and a 500ft magic carpet. They have a small snow play area with a Snow Volcano. Tickets are purchased online or at the ticket window.
  • Planet Kids and Tube Town at Soda Springs Resort—Soda Springs has two snow park areas. One is for children under 7, with tube carousels and snow volcanos. The other is for older kids and adults, with ten groomed tubing lanes and a 400-foot magic carpet. Tickets can be purchased online.
  • Tahoe Tubinat Boreal Mountain, California - Open daily for 90-minute sessions, Boreal Mountain has 3-8 groomed tubing lanes and a magic carpet. Tickets are only available online
  • Donner Ski Ranch Tubing - Snow Tubing Hill is available for kids and adults on Donner Summit. Tickets are available for 2 hours sessions at the ticket window.
  • Snow & Disco Tubing at Palisades Tahoe - Snow tubing is available daily for 55-minute sessions. Check the Palisades Tahoe website for a special disco tubing event with LED lights and a live DJ. Tickets are available online.
  • Northstar Village Hike and Tube—Northstar California Resort has a tubing and sledding area. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be purchased at the Tickets & Season Pass Office in the Village at Northstar.

  • Truckee River Regional Park—This park is close to downtown Truckee and offers an ice skating rink, a sledding hill, and scenic paved paths. The plowed parking lot next to the park is free.
  • Johnson Canyon - This is a forested area that has gentle hills for sledding and plenty of space for snow play.
