Resort Opening Days And Things You Need To Know
Our amazing Tahoe Ski resorts are preparing to open and in true 2020 form there are a few new rules to go along with that. Each resort is a little different but one thing they have in common is that your safety is their main concern. Keep reading to find out more information about each resorts opening day and what you need to do to prepare for your ski vacation.
Northstar Ski Resort- Opening Day November 20th
Important Northstar Information:
- Reservations will be required, and our pass holders will get priority access. Click here for additional pass information.
- Lift tickets will go on sale Dec. 8 after our pass holders reserve their priority days. Lift tickets will not be sold for the early season, but Epic Day Passes are available now. Click here to learn more or buy lift tickets.
- Face coverings will be required to access the mountain, in all indoor spaces, in any line, in chairlifts and gondolas, and whenever you are unable to maintain physical distance.
- For your safety, all transactions will be cashless. This includes at our hotels, restaurants, Ski and Ride School, and all other points of sale. For the best experience, book and pay online in advance.

Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows- Opening Day November 25th
Important Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows Information:
- Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows intends to serve its guests without a reservation system. Please visit this page to see if any changes have been made.
- New hand-sanitizing stations are being installed and bathrooms will be outfitted with hundreds of additional touchless faucets, paper towel and soap dispensers.
- Partitions will be installed in ticket, ski school, and food and beverage sales locations.
- A fleet of high-demand electrostatic sanitizing sprayers will disinfect areas around the resort, with the ability to sanitize up to 23,000 square feet on one tank.
- Guests can expect to find more outdoor seating than ever before, including expanded deck seating at Alpine Meadows Base Lodge, Gold Coast Lodge and KT Base Bar.

Heavenly - Opening Day November 20th

Sugar Bowl - Opening Day November 27th
Important Sugarbowl Information:
- Advance purchases will be required for lift tickets, lessons and rentals. In our commitment to maintain a uniquely uncrowded experience, we will be capping the number of daily lift tickets sold in addition to limiting total season passes available for purchase.
- Face coverings will be required at Sugar Bowl – indoors (at all times) and outdoors (when within six feet of others) – for all guests and staff.
- Indoor access will be limited to restrooms and warming zones for 15-minute increments.
- All food & beverage service will be “grab & go.”
- Payment transactions will be touchless; customers will swipe their own credit cards.
